weekend adventures
well, it's not really all that exciting. i went to watch a movie by myself for the first time in my life...cuz i couldn't get my other half or anyone i knew to go with me on a weekday afternoon...and i had to watch harry potter and the goblet of fire so i just went! and it was fantastic! the merpeople scared me, and hermione was over-the-top as usual, but i thought the movie was good. the whole time during the journey to the imax theatre i was constantly thinking about what i was doing going to watch a movie by myself, never having done it before, but at the end of it all it was a very positive experience, and i have to say it was even empowering. i didn't find myself scurrying into the theatre trying to hide my face or anything and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. the fact that it was on a huge imax screen didn't hurt things at all.
and saturday night was super party night. i haven't danced like that in a while...heck, i haven't partied for over 4 months...that's half a year!! sketchy new year's party in sheraton, dhaka does not count. good clubbing experience has to do with good music, a good atmosphere and of course good company, and all was good this saturday at guvernment. had a super duper time!
of course, as usual, i don't want to go back to work. but dr. d might not like that too much.
